Brett Pearson joins the faculty at Dickinson having recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University. After receiving his B.A. in Physics from Grinnell College, Brett earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Michigan, where he studied ultrafast molecular motion and the dynamics of simple chemical reactions. At Dickinson, he looks forward to continuing his research in measuring, imaging, and controlling molecular systems using ultrafast lasers.
Outside of the office, Brett enjoys watching films and being dragged to art museums while traveling with his wife Heather. He and his wife are also looking forward to the birth of their first child.
